Team

Michael L. Reo

CEO and Founder

Michael has more than 30 years in medical device development spanning cardiovascular, structural heart, neurovascular, peripheral vascular, ENT, renal, orthopedics, and combination products, along with surgical tools, ultrasound, medical electrical equipment, and software-driven systems. He holds 72 issued US patents and founded rmForge to accelerate product development and make safer medical devices. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University and served six years on active duty in the U.S. Navy.

Andrew Shubel

Head of Regulatory and Quality

Andrew brings over 25 years of medical-device Operations, Quality, and Regulatory leadership, including ten years at Stryker Corporation and director and VP roles across five countries in North America and Europe. He is RAC certified and a certified lead auditor since 2006, with seven years of QMS implementation and audit consulting. Andrew holds a BA from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Norwich University, and served ten years on Active Duty in the U.S. Army.

David G. Reo

Fractional CAIO and Co-Founder

David is rmForge's Chief AI Officer and the founder of Pinecrest AI. His work spans agentic system design, LLM pipeline architecture, model selection, and software development. A former spacecraft engineer, he holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on mechatronics and programming from Cal Poly SLO.
